Our AR-15 Introductory Course is designed to provide students with the foundational skills and knowledge required to safely and effectively operate the AR-15 rifle. This course covers key aspects of firearm safety, the mechanics of the AR-15 platform, essential shooting techniques, and maintenance procedures. Through a mix of classroom instruction and live-fire exercises, students will gain the confidence and competence needed to handle the AR-15 in a variety of scenarios.

Course Duration:

– 6 – 8 hours (classroom + range time)

Prerequisites:

– Student must be 18 years of age or older

What to bring:

– Rifle: AR-15 Rifle (.223 or 5.56 NATO Chambered)
– Minimum of two (2) 10-round magazines
– 100 – 150 rounds of ammunition
– Clothing appropriate for outdoor weather conditions
– Eye and Hearing Protection
– Cleaning Kit : AR-15 .223/5.56MM firearm cleaning kit
– Notebook & Pen: To take notes during theoretical discussions and reviews

Optional Equipment:

– Shooting gloves (optional)
– Knee pads (optional)
– Rifle sling (optional, but encouraged)

What is provided:

– Private shooting range access
– Required shooting targets

Firearm / Ammo and Equipment Requirements:

– Your firearms must be fully functional, have all factory-installed safety devices intact, and have no dangerous modifications (such as a “hair” triggers less than 4 pounds, removed trigger guard, etc.).
– Factory ammunition is required, NO reloads.
– Electronic hearing protection is mandatory and is available at numerous retailers.
– If you do not have a cleaning kit for your rifle, we have them available for purchase.
